After a short wait my dreams were either about to come true or be completely shattered. We pop open the styrofoam container and see two simple looking soft tacos with nothing more than some chopped raw onion, fresh cilantro and a lime wedge as garnish over the marinated short rib. As plain as it looks, the smell is intoxicating. Pro tip: squeeze the lime over these little culinary achievements and take in the intoxicating aroma of the sesame marinade on the beef.

Upon first bite there is a rush of sweet and tangy that is everything I had ever hoped a Korean taco would be: The beef is juicy and perfectly cooked, the marinade is sweet and tangy without being overly complicated. We have a winner! For this to make us so happy and cost only $2.50 for one is a miracle. Usually good food is way overpriced in JC because there is so little of it and the people who know they have a good product know they can get away with gouging us locals craving something edible.
Make the pilgrimage to Jersey City and pay homage to the masters of the Korean taco. The journey is long, but the food is delicious and the price is right at two for $5.
